Elodie is a social performance professional with 25 years of experience in societal risk assessment, social performance, human rights, government and civil society relations. She has a valuable track record of managing key stakeholders at executive and frontline levels in a FTSE100 company.
As a consultant, Elodie has advised clients on human rights due diligence, responsible supply chain and procurement, social investment programming and evaluation, socio-economic impact analysis globally but also in specific countries such as Albania, Argentina, Chad, Colombia, Ecuador, Gabon, Uganda, Mauritania, Mozambique, Senegal, South Africa and Tanzania.
Elodie was formerly Head of Societal Issues and Relationships at BP, leading social policy management (human rights, FPIC, tax and contract transparency), social risk assessment, advocacy and stakeholder engagement, as well as advising the company on new country entry. Prior to that, she also worked as Head of Communications for BP's Upstream business and as External Affairs Director for BP's North Africa business (Algeria/Libya) where she developed and implemented BP's government and community relations strategy.
Previously, Elodie worked for the BBC World Service and volunteered for a number of human rights NGOs.
Until recently, she was Non-Executive Director on the Board of Amerisur Resources, an oil exploration and production company operating in Colombia, and SolGold, a copper and gold exploration company. She now serves on the Board of Shanta Gold, a gold producer with assets in Tanzania and Kenya.
Elodie works in English and French and speaks Spanish.
